Qualifications

• Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in carpentry or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Red Seal endorsement preferred

• Several years of experience in the carpentry trade, with a preference for those who have worked in a variety of construction settings, such as residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and plans.
• Skilled in various carpentry techniques and practices.

• Valid WHMIS, First Aid, and H2S safety tickets.
• Knowledge of and experience with workplace safety.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites, sometimes outside of the local area.

• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and managing or leading crews.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations on the job site.

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding manual tasks, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
